Failure is Feedback
“Success is the ability to move from one failure to another without the loss of enthusiasm.” – Winston Churchill
Without failures in life we do not receive the necessary feedback to learn & grow. It’s not that we should aim to fail, but we should not let failure stop us from pursuing our goals. Instead viewing our “failures” as feedback for us to learn from & adjust our strategy moving forward. In order to succeed in anything (fitness goals, career goals, building relationships, self-improvement, etc.) we must take action towards them and pay attention to the feedback that we get (both good & bad). It’s the only way to learn and find out what works & what doesn’t.
A common fitness related example is failing to lose “X” amount of weight with “X” diet and “X” exercise program. If the plan was a complete failure (nothing changed) then create a new one, if some things worked well and progress was made find out what changes should be made & move forward with the modified plan. Repeat this trial & error process until you get the results you are looking for. Apply this principle to everything you do in life & you will find success.
Embrace all of the feedback you get and adjust accordingly remembering that your past failures do not define who you are in this present moment.
